Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Summarize. One, a WhatsApp assistant that summarizes and transcribes voice and text messages, and of the website www.summarize.one (together the “Service”). The Service is provided by Tasler IT Inh. Thomas Tasler, Schießstattweg 12, 87772 Pfaffenhausen, Germany (“Summarize. One”, “we”, “us”).
By using the Service, for example by writing to the Summarize. One number on WhatsApp, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Questions: info@summarize.one.
1. The Service
You send or forward voice messages, audio files or texts to Summarize. One on WhatsApp. Summarize. One sends you a summary and, if you enable it in the settings, a transcript. You can change the summary style, language and other settings in the chat menu. You need a WhatsApp account; WhatsApp’s own terms apply to its use.
2. Credits
- The Service is paid in credits. One credit covers a voice message up to 5 minutes or a text up to 4,000 characters. Longer messages use one more credit per started 5 minutes or 4,000 characters.
- Texts shorter than 50 characters and your own messages to the bot (for example menu choices) are free.
- New users receive free starter credits once.
- If a message cannot be processed, the credits charged for it are refunded automatically.
- The current prices are shown on www.summarize.one and in the chat before you pay.
3. Purchases and subscriptions
- You can buy credit packages or subscribe to a plan. Payments are handled by Stripe.
- Purchased credits do not expire.
- Subscriptions include a monthly credit allowance. Unused allowance expires at the end of each billing period.
- Subscriptions are charged in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time via the chat menu or by email to info@summarize.one; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. Price changes do not affect the billing period you have already paid for.
- Your statutory rights, in particular a consumer’s right of withdrawal, remain unaffected.
4. AI-generated content
Summaries and transcripts are generated automatically by Gemini, a language model developed by Google. They may be incomplete, inaccurate or misunderstand the original message, especially with poor audio quality. Check important content against the original message. Summaries are no substitute for professional legal, financial, medical or other advice.
5. Your responsibilities
- Only send or forward messages you are allowed to share. Forwarded messages often contain personal data of other people; you are responsible for having a legal basis to have them processed by us.
- Do not use the Service for illegal purposes, to harass others or to process content that infringes third-party rights.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
- Do not abuse free credits, referral links or special offers, and do not resell the Service.
6. Availability
The Service depends on third-party providers, in particular WhatsApp (Meta) and Google. We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. If a provider changes or discontinues its service, we may have to change or discontinue features of Summarize.One.
7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded.
8. Ending the use
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your data via “Delete my data” in the chat menu or by email. Please cancel an active subscription first. We may block users who violate these Terms; in serious cases without prior notice.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms when the Service or the law changes. We will inform you about material changes in good time, for example in the chat or on our website. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, the new Terms apply.
10. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected. If a provision of these Terms is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
11. Online dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
